I started taking notes... on this website

I don't know who needs to hear this, in fact, I don't even know if this is useful to anyone, but I started taking notes, and sharing them publicly on this website. Just thought I would announce it here, in case someone is interested in reading them and curious about how I'm doing it.

Why I did it

I never owned a diary, wasn't a fan of writing, and I don't even like reading that much. But since I started this website, I have been writing a lot more than I used to. You can still find my old posts, all the way back to 2021, some of them are just bland and boring, some are random and disorganized. I'm not sure if my writing has improved since then, but I can tell you I have been enjoying it a lot more.

I have been having a lot in mind lately, and I thought it would be a good idea to write it down, and what would be a better place to do it than on my own website? I might treat Visnalize as a business, but as of now, it is no more than a hobby, a personal project. So instead of trying to keep it professional and polished, I wonder if I could just write whatever comes to mind, things I learned or find interesting, and share them with the world.

I don't know if anyone will read them, but that's not what matters, because I just want to keep track of my thoughts and ideas, some of which might turn into something useful in the future, or simply as a reflection of my past self.

How I'm doing it

As the goal is to capture my thoughts and ideas quickly, I don't see the need to over-engineer the technical aspects and the process of writing. What I have is just:

Now every time I need to write something down, I can just use the GitHub editor on my web browser, add a new file, and populate it with the content. Upon saving, the file will be automatically deployed to the website, and I can see it live in a matter of seconds.

Since these notes are meant to mirror my thoughts, they don't have to look pretty or well-structured. I keep them short and simple, and that's all I need.
